This page explains how to delete data from Dukara, and what happens when you do. Google Play requires an application to publish this information at a publicly reachable address, which is why it has a page of its own.
In the app: open the client's profile and choose Archive. An archived client is hidden from your active roster, but nothing about them is deleted — their measurements, sessions and payment history are all retained, and they can be restored at any time.
Archiving is not deletion. If a client has asked you to erase their data, see the next section.
A client has the right to have their personal data erased, and archiving does not satisfy that — it keeps everything.
In the app. Open the client's profile and choose Delete client. This permanently removes them along with every measurement, session and payment record. It cannot be undone.
By email. If you cannot reach your trainer, write to naming the trainer and the client. Requests are actioned within 30 days.
In the app. Open Settings from the client
list, choose Delete account, and type DELETE to
confirm. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
By email. If you can no longer sign in, send a request from the email address associated with your Google account to with the subject Account deletion. We verify that the request comes from the account holder and then delete the account.
| Data | On account deletion |
|---|---|
| Your trainer profile — name, email, photo, preferences | Deleted |
| All your clients and their contact details | Deleted |
| All measurements, sessions, and payment records | Deleted |
| Stored Google Calendar access tokens | Deleted, and access is revoked |
| The Dukara calendar in your Google account, and its events | Not deleted. It lives in your Google account, not ours. Delete it in Google Calendar if you want it gone. |
| Backups | Overwritten on a rolling basis within 30 days |
Deletion from the live database is immediate. Rolling backups are overwritten within 30 days, after which no copy remains.
Requests sent by email are actioned within 30 days, and normally much sooner.
Clients do not have Dukara accounts. Your data was entered by your trainer, and your trainer decides what is kept.
Contact your trainer to have your data corrected or deleted — they can do it immediately. If you cannot reach them, or they do not act, write to and we will help. Note that we may need to verify your identity, and may need to contact your trainer, since we hold that data on their behalf rather than our own.
If you only want to stop calendar access, disconnect it in the app. That deletes the stored token and stops all reading and writing, while leaving your clients and history untouched. You can also revoke access directly at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
